Pink Noise improves your sleep and memory

Pink Noise improves your sleep and memory

Are you a light sleeper?

Healthy sleep patterns have light and deep sleep cycles (REM and non-REM cycle).

As you get older, though, you spend more time in the “lighter” sleep than deep sleep, which causes you to feel tired and groggy the next day.  And what’s worse, these sleep issues contribute to memory problems.

The Solution: Pink Noise

New research is showing pink noise help you drift off easier and promote deep sleep.

In a landmark study, researchers had volunteers over the age of 60 sleep one night while listening to pink noise and another night without any noise. 2

And then each morning, they were asked to complete a memory test.

The result: the night spent listening to pink noise during sleep produced more deep sleep and 30% higher score on the memory test.

New research is showing pink noise help you drift off easier and promote deep sleep.

Dr. Phyllis Zee, professor of Neurology, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine says:

“This is an innovative, simple and safe non-medication approach that may help improve brain health… This is a potential tool for enhancing memory in older populations and attenuating normal age-related memory decline.”
